Select Game
Toward the end of each season, teams in Divisions 4 and 5 vote for 2 to 4 players that will represent them in a "Select" Game. This is the league's way of allowing some of our more gifted players to taste stiffer competition without violating our non-competitive, instructional philosophy. The games are scheduled for the second half of one of our last sessions (check the League Calendar) - the regular season games are played in the first half of the session, replacing the practice segment. Play in Divisions 1 through 3 is unaffected. Both Select Games (one for each division) are played simultaneously on fields 11 and 12 and generally are real shot outs. Everyone, players, coaches, parents, is encouraged to stop by and cheer them on. |
